If it will not release to WSUS, are there some good deploy way you suggest? I have lots of experience with software distribution and deployment, but I have almost zero experience with maintaining MS SQL Server. Because of that lack of experience with SQL, and probably this WSUS forum is not the best place to find that SQL expertise, you might be better to ask in a dedicated SQL forum? I suggest this, because complex products like SQL, might have some important manual steps to perform, prior to applying SP3, and possibly manual steps to perform after applying SP3. This might even be why the SP3 isn't available via WSUS? Similar complexities apply to MS Exchange Server SP's (manual steps required). If there aren't those types of complexities/considerations, then you could use several methods, depending on what tools are available within your environment; a) psexec, WinRM, Powershell-remoting b) Configuration Manager c) domain Group Policy d) some third-party deployment solution (bigfix, bladelogic, Radia, etc) Don (Please take a moment to 'Vote as Helpful' and/or 'Mark as Answer', where applicable.
